Hung on to this for so long in hopes its peak was yet to come, finding an opportune time to drink it and most importantly people to share it with who would appreciate it ....even if it passed its peak....after we wrapped the Riesling tstg in the cellar I broke this out. The nose was showing some older, oxidized, funky tones but the palette had a LOT of life left. Classic chenin acidity for days. Melon, tree fruit, weight, oak ....hints of botrytis shining thru. Wish I smelled it 4 yrs ago and wish I waited 5 more yrs to drink it.
