When my daughter opened this bottle for us to share, she immediately noticed my disappointment. In general, I am not a big fan of Pinot Grigio, but I do love the white wines from Alto Adige. She told me to keep an open mind. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. Straw yellow color with green highlights. Fruit forward aromas of green apple and pear with a hint of white flower perfume. Peach, apricot, lemon and lychee fruit on the pallet with a hint of tropical fruit. The finish features a crisp mineral note. More acidity (medium-plus) then I usually experience with this varietal. Medium bodied and quite “Riesling-like.” Fresh, lively, complex and focused. Very well made and an excellent value. Thanks for sharing, Kase.
