So good! Drank like a pinot more than a merlot. Light and fruity with red and slight blue fruits, coffee and bittersweet chocolate notes, great tannins and medium acidity.

One of the top Cali Merlots IMO. The vintage reminds me of Kid Rock. Didn’t make it until later in life.

This Bordeaux blend consists of 56% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petite Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. 20 months in 33% new French oak and 19% new Hungarian oak. Ruby in color with garnet to a slight brick hue. Aromas of flowers, eucalyptus, spices and herbs with wafts of black candied fruit. Flavors of black fruit with a touch of earth, spice and flowers on the tongue. Very delicate with subtle tannins and a long smooth finish. Enjoy your sips!

Slow O for 10 hrs. Pretty Cabernet nose and delicate, elegant palate. Nice balance but feels really light. Almost no tannin. Not what I expect in a Kap GV. Vintage specific, I suppose, but the 2011 Roberta’s from last night had much more tannin. Very food friendly wine.

Mild nose, opens up this very fruit forward wine. Big cherry and cranberry flavors overwhelm the palate, but it is extremely smooth and very easy to drink. Not really my cup of tea, but solid wine.

This is THE wine. Love it by itself. Enjoying it at French a Laundry.
