Blanc de Noir Pinot Noir

In every sense of the word, this Blanc De Noir is beautiful. The labeling alone deserves an award! With Pinot Noir sourced from my favorite vineyard in the state (Temperance Hill), this is a complex, gorgeous, elegant, full bodied, fruit forward beauty with pin point bubbles from Heaven. Strawberries, raspberries, fresh baked bread. rich fruit upon entry follow through to the forever finish , seamlessly. Zippy, zesty acidity rounds out the fruit. Bubble Bliss!!

#wine is ridiculous. A bit out of my every day price range at $85. 100% Pinot, temperance hill, bright, light strawberry and a leesy funk. Has a ton of structure, hope it will age well.

Oct 1st, 2015Kudos to winemaker, Jim Prosser for turning out this utterly charming sparkling Pinot Noir. 2011 was the inaugural vintage, and was whole-cluster pressed then slowly fermented in neutral oak using native yeast. Crafted in the Méthode Champenoise tradition, the nose is delicately perfumed with hibiscus, rose hips, wild strawberries, blowsy fresh linen, and mint. Elegant and softly textured, and interlaced with melon, seedy raspberry and a sprinkling of minerality. Crisp finish. 12.5% ABV | Sample

Started out all grapefruit and herbs like the still version, then moved on to roses and raspberry like his pinots. Dusty mineral and a snap of acid to kick it off, a little cream to finish. Tight bubbles with decent persistence. Good stuff.
