Cherry, hay, earth, Cola... Typical nose that I now associate with cru Morgon. It feels young and like it could wait on the side for another 3 to 5 years 😅
The palate is delicious. There is a great acid drive, there is some width, some lovely, crunchy (somehow) cherry notes, some tannins in the rear that are not so common in Beaujolais cru wines, before a long and complex finish with different layers : cherry and hay, that tannic layer and a reminiscence of the nose with a Cola touch. This is great and it will probably get better with some age!

Very powerful for Gamay. Shows what it can do. Wild be great with a bloody steak. More intriguingly could age for 2/3 years at least I think. Cracking well made wine

This is a wine had such an impact on me the first time I had it(2014 vintage) and has been a go-to special occasion bottle for me since. The 2020 is the best vintage since the ‘16 and just everything I want great Bojo to be. It’s structured, balanced, and serious while also being fun and insanely delicious. A reminder that there are inexpensive but profound wines hiding out there.

tilts toward big fat juicy in style….quite a display up front…..settles in the glass toward something more medicinal/herbal within an hour….touch of mint leaf on the way out. very appealing once the throttle’s open.

A little tight on day 1 but opened up nicely on day 2. Another great Burgaud and a real value.
