Apple, fig, quince and French oak show playful and integrated completeness in the nose. Very intriguing and crafty aromatics for the price point. Not a lot of wines is show to real wine geeks for about $20, but this one's special. Rich enough to be Chard, structured enough to be pure Santa Maria. Balanced and crafty in the mouth with a nice mix of breadth and acidity. Serve with goat cheese fritters or fried squash blossoms with nectarine jam.

Apple, floral and buttery on the nose. Nutty, oaky and buttery on the smooth palate with not much life; could use a bit more acidity. Finish is decent. It's not bad, just not my type.
