A touch muted compared to my last bottle 16 months ago. Telltale red cherry fruit with dusty, spice edge. Tannic structure is noticeable but red fruit and spice tones do a nice job to balance. I was hoping for a touch more depth and panache.

2008 vintage. Marvelous, 100% Sangiovese from Isole e Olena. The Cepparello is always worth drinking as it consistently represents the best of Italian vineyards.
