Just a touch of gold in the straw color. Creamy and apples in the nose. Nice acidity with delicate balanced fruit. Long fruit finish with lingering acidity. Very nice wine elegant and not overstated. Yum! 2009 vintage.

Same Hyde grapes as Kistler and yesterday's Ramey. 2008 had nice acidic balance to the fullness. Also developed a creaminess which is beautiful.

Compared '11 to Ramey '12 - both Carneros Hyde grapes. HdV clear favorite of group. Great balance of acidity and fruit. Creamy integration. Less butter/oak. Wonderful.
