Awesome nose of blue, dark fruit and pipe tobacco. These Herman Story wines just get so much better after five or so years. The time for the alcohol to resolve itself really counts. Love it.

Big & bold for sure. Baking spice, pepper, blackberry, black cherry. A little hot for me but the fruit still came through.

Huge wine yet nicely balanced which masked the high abv. Damn Russell makes a fine Grenache.

Sep 14th, 2017Needed a wine that could hold up to a ribeye so I pulled a '13 Herman Story "On the Road". This beat that ribeye up and left it cowering in fear. If you need a chest warming cherry cocktail look no further. It did calm down a bit after an hour and a half but this is a BIG wine. All that being said, we loved it
