Strong stuff, good fruit, hot but warming as opposed to burning. Just a fun wine which is best enjoyed on a dark, cold evening. 16%+ means you’ll know about it if you go further than halfway down the bottle.

Been awhile since I opened one of Russell's wines. It has come out swinging in all its full throttle, teeth staining, mouth coating glory. Black berry, cherry kirsch, charred meat, leather, spice. Layers upon layers upon layers with the structure and acidity to go the distance.
