This is the Esporao Reserva. Lovely. Similar to Rioja, but the 20% Cabernet Sauvignon shifts the wine’s trajectory. Persistent on the finish.

The 2019 vintage is terrific. Transcends all other vintages of recent years (2017-2021). If you still can get your hands on a 2019 bottle, simply buy and enjoy it. Portuguese Alentejano branco wine at its (affordable) top. Expresses the typicity of the region and grape varieties very well. Balanced, structured, citrus-fruity and pleasantly acid wine, asking for more.
