A very fresh & vibrant Portuguese red… blend of, what else-Portugese varietals including Touriga Nacional & Alicante Bouschet. Oftentimes I found Portuguese reds to be rather meh, as if the blends tone down the more interesting ruffles, but not this. Red fruits to its core, low-ish tannin, with a vibrant young snap- obviously the fruit & its vibrancy are on display. Bought & drank on the island of Madeira, so that probably helped (or influenced) my experience.
