Cork disintegrated upon opening, but the wine is remarkably lively and elegant. Past its peak, but is doing extremely well after 23 years. I well remember buying this bottle with McCusker upon his recommendation when I first moved to Berkeley. Thanks Jim for almost 20 years of invaluable wine advice. And happy 50th, you ancient motherfucker.
