No vintage Heitz dessert wine. Matthew treated us to this special surprise at Augustine. Had no idea this ever even existed. Such a treat!

This is a 1961 "later label." Very rare and made from Mission Pais grapes. Kind of like a great Madera.

This bottle was at least 50 years old . Consumed at Book Club from Dave's cellar and it was stunning. The bottle size was. One quart-- that has not been the case in many decades . Rich Amber color and solid mouth coating of aged Tawny port. This wine was purchased. By Heitz and produced 330 cases. We were fortunate to taste this bit of California history..
