Nov 26th, 2020Still very fresh & youthful showing sweet ripe berry, plum fruits, mocha, leather, dried herbs & spice box. Lovely, elegant, claret styled Cali wine that should continue to drink well.

Bright dark/red fruit still dominates the nose even after all these years. (After two hours, nose reveals lavender and bramble wood, artificial Marriott bath soap) Spice and age come through as well, and tertiary notes include mushroom broth and various umami. The attack begins with a bang - supple red fruit. The acid is medium plus. The tannins are fully integrated and are super fine grain. They stick around for the finish, which is medium in length but the alcohol sticks around the longest.
