Low acid, medium astringency, & medium plus alcohol impart this Napa Zin with a flavorful but refined drinkability.

Elegant and restrained, with juicy raspberry and cherry flavors puncuated by aromas of pepper, vanilla, lanolin, and wet slate. Atypical of most Zinfandels, the alcohol may be lower than the stated 14.5% abv (which suits me just fine), and probably makes sense, considering the vintage. Well-balanced, long, and with a pleasant softness in texture. Food friendly, too, it paired very well with a spicy Thai style red curry.
