Reminiscent of Rioja, but with a bit of a delish bretty nebbiolo tinge on the nose. Would be a regular go-to if not for the vanilla / oak tinge on the finish, which seemed a bit too present despite it being an '09. Maybe with some more time.

Yummy. Dry lots of red fruit with notes of leather, tobacco and savory herbs. Nice amount of acid to brighten it up. A little bit of funk as well. Love it
