Is this super complex, no. Is it wonderful to drink, yes. Is it way better than most CA Pinot at this price, yes. Also I’ve always enjoyed 2014 burgundy. Strawberries, barnyard, mix of savory herbs, hint of baking spice, a bit of blueberry compote, something vegetal like celery but not quite.

Quite lean & savory with tart raspberry & cranberry, some undergrowth and mushroom soup. Juicy tannins and tart berry acidity give nice structure which, unfortunately, the fruit does not fill fully.
Great with food, solo- a touch hollow on the mid palate, but overall very satisfying.
