Pleasantly surprised by the amount of acid on a CdP-any more and it would have been overwhelming. Overall great nose & depth of flavor

Almost port-like in its depth and concentration. A bit extravagant. But went well with roast chicken. A treat. @grapelyle

Day 1: Soaring nose of hot stones, kirsch liquor, wet soil, lavender and bittersweet cocoa. Very complex nose. Very old school CDP. Deep. Reminds me of Mon Aieul. Deep, rich and concentrated palate with vivid sweet kirsch/cherry fruit served on a slab of stone, yet finishes elegant and mineral with a laser of sweet Grenache, clearly defined fruit. This is delicious right out of the gates. Great acidity and minerals to burn on the finish. Outrageously juicy and complex and lovely licorice fruit develops after 30-45 minutes. I don't drink CDP often but when I do it is like this. Wonderful and has years to go.
