Figured I’d check in here. The merlot is noticeable, and I love it. With time this is going to be a big fat plush wine. Right now still tannic, and starting to show itself. Patience for another year or two will pay dividends.

Need to open at least 1.5 hours before drinking. Red currant, ripe cherries, and tanning oil. Great full mouthfeel, very warm with a long finish. Paired with steak. Probably will be even better tomorrow.
