2001v. Deep dark ruby red. 4hr decant. Nose of rose petals, potpourri, red licorice, and red cherry cough syrup. On the palette, all of those red notes come out very integrated. High acidity with mild tannins that have softened with age. At the age of 17, this wine is ready to drink now IMO. I paired this wine with a tomato-based lasagna on a very cold night. 14% ABV.
