Tasted a few times now & consistent. Trocken style. Raw Fennel, apple skin, white flowers- marigolds & apples on the nose. A bit frizzante? At 15$ another Crazy Eddie deal.

Mar 1st, 2023I’ve stayed away from Trocken style wines for some reason which I can’t particularly articulate or understand. Maybe because I do love RS in my Rieslings. But this is delicious, perhaps because there’s somehow the allusion of sweetness even though it’s not sweet at all. Not chiseled, after all it’s only a Qualitatswein wine, but for a $15 Mosel it’s an outrageous QPR.  Pear clafoutis, white flowers, a bit of spritz. Goddamn I think I like Trocken…
