Nicely put together Syrah. Color is quite saturated. Nose is moderate intensity, showing crushed stone, loam, beef jerky, and deep, low-toned dark berry fruit. Deep and tacky-textured in the mouth, the tannins are prominent but soft and in balance with the deep fruit. Loads of ashy, dark rock dust minerality in the back half of the palate. Nice acids for a wine that’s 14.9%. This is great now but will certainly age several more years.

Had this last night at dinner with friends. So no detailed notes. But this was balanced. Complex nose, really nice texture and mid-palate intensity. Lengthy finish with lots of very soft tannins. Drank really well with strip steaks.
