Firestone Walker Brewing Company
Reserve Series Double DBA Imperial Special Bitter

Got 13 old vintage Firestone beers of various years and names from a coworker this was the only year and beer I got two of so figured I’d crack it open. Tastes of brandy, coffee, toffee, and dark chocolate with no bite at the end like a flavorful brandy with no bite super interesting and excited for the other various firestone vintage beers I received

Jan 20th, 2024The nose initially smells of caramel and toffee and generalizable baking spices. This gives way to a light smell of maple. The palate is complex with hazelnut and toffee, vanilla and cardamum. The alcohol is well disguised, though the beer is a little more full bodied than I would personally like. Overall, a. outstanding beer, best enjoyed with friends. Or alone, because it's Wednesday, and fuck it.
