Like an old world, spicy zin. Raspberry, tart cherry, stems, walnut shell bitterness. Good value.

Resinous/dank, fig, blackberry, spice. Juicy, round palate and a surprisingly long finish.

Fine. Nothing to write home about, but nothing negative.

Some cherry cobbler and bit of funky earthy stuff on the nose. Lovely dark color. Flavor is chewy and a bit savory with tart berry and a little black cherry juice. Finish is Smokey the Bear meets black panda licorice. Tannic too. Full of flavor and fairly balanced Italian primitive primitivo. A beautiful crimson red. Smells a bit like perfume and smoke. Some citrus peel on the wood stove too. Flavor is nice. Dried berries. Fruit forward with a bit of chewy, savory, herbal stuff on the backside. Again a great value from southern Italia!
