Aug 31st, 201911’ Favia La Magdalena . One of my favorite 2011’s from Napa. Pop & let it sit in the glass for 10/15 minutes. Magician when it comes to CF blends.

Jun 17th, 201811' Favia La Magdalena . This is a 50-50 blend of CF & CB. Deep Purple with crimson edges. Heavy sediment. Nose- Possibly the best part of this wine. Bursting of floral/perfume notes. Palate- It screams blackberries! Cedar, mint, worn leather, earthiness. Nice weight/ mouth feel. We decanted it for a hour (needed2). Medium + bodied. Even though it's a 50-50 blend, the cab Franc dominates the back part of the palate.
I do believe this needs time!! Yet another example of a well made 11.
I've said it before… a magician when it comes to CF blends.
Since I was unable to get any of the 2012(was promised & never received)...I'll look forward to opening the 13's in a few years. Hold.

Solid Wine. cab franc is dominant here with just a hint of greenness. Liquor like palate, it's quite thick and juicy. Should evolved beautifully with time, still a baby. #cabernetsauvignon #california

Very fragrant, very floral. Ripe blue and black fruit, lovely silky texture. Hints of mint, baking spices, leather, pipe tobacco. Absolutely gorgeous wine, drinking perfectly now.
