Savory herbal note on the nose.... just a touch of browning around the edge of the glass. 10 year old Nero Mascalese worked well with spicy, olive oriented Livernese sauce with sea bass. I love old red wine with fish.

Pretty plush wine; immediately likable; this might need some time to "chill!"

I actually really like this. Volcano are definitely great places for wine.

The most aged Etna rosso I’ve ever come across and ever drank… def tasted fully mature, a bit flat at first and needed a full day to open up but then, hey, a rich and smouldering cola of stewed black cherry, smoky jerky, and a woody spice. This seemed very drink now, but curious how these more structured etna rossos hold after 10 years! Very cool taste test!

Fresco, poco brillante, minerale, persistente, buon equilibrio: perfetto anche x la bottarga.
