I enjoy Merlot more as a blending component than a single varietal expression but you can’t go wrong with 100% merlot Petrolo’s (especially with age on them).

Гранатовое. Нежное, сочная голубика, слива, ваниль, сладкие специи. Бархатное, очень гладкое.

Young and mighty. Charred and soy sauce tinge bright red fruit in an upright tannic jacket. Great to be greater.

100% merlot but blend 10% Sangiovese in this vintage. Black current, vanilla, spices and savoury on the nose. Medium intensity & acidity, long stand. Very smooth after decanted. Easy drinking wine!

Loved the wine. Wine looks like raspberry jam in a glass. Crushed raspberries in the nose and taste. Very powerful fruit that lasts. Not much tannin or oak. Every sip I look forward to the next.
