Red fruit and floral notes with a great acid and tannin backbone. Lovely brunello

A beautiful brunello, being shared with my beautiful wife on an outside patio on January 1 in Florida. Not a bad start to 2019!

Nose a little off putting. Had homemade carnitas tacos complimented very well . Medium finish.

Terrific brunello. Great combination of primary and secondary aromatics, much softer on the palate than I was expecting, suggesting a faster evolutionary track for this one. Seamless finish.

Not too bad, nicely peaking with tar and leather and cigar notes. Not a super high end brunello but drinks fine.

Decant for 2 hour to allow the full body to come through. Words would just spoil one of the best wine 🍷 out there.

Excellent wine... 🎄...Merry Christmas...

1.5 hours open and it's still very tight.

If you pop this, it needs a lot of time. And MUST LOVE TANNINS. I preferred the NonRiserva version I had last week.

Wow! A huge gem! Notes of ripe cherry, fresh aromatic herbs, and wet stone. On top of it being a knockout vintage, makes this incredibly rich, elegant and complex!!!
