still bright, lost a lot of its fruit but it pops right back with some rich cheese. moderate acidity. tannins soft. Makes me want to taste more recent vintages because I could taste how good it was.

Cherry and currant fruit, wood, spice, and dry earth. But lots of acidity and chewy tannins. That overwhelmed it. This was good with strong Mediterranean food.

Much more closed than the 06 right now. Opens up well after some time in the glass so decanting is probably the way to go. Dry fruit, some bitterness on the palate. Violet and cherry as it opens. Hints of black currant.
