This took an hour in the decanter to loosen up. Then rich, earthy, dark berries and deep woods pine forest scents emerge. Mouthfilling and savory more than fruity. Dark gravelly minerals take the lead over dark macerated dried cherry fruit. Fair amount of soft tannin. Very clingy finish.
UPDATE: Night 3 this is utterly compelling. Just a beautiful wine.
