It wants to be so much better than it actually is. The bottle is heavy and beautiful, it bears a sticker that says 99 points and wears it like a badge of honour... but it's just a glorified primitivo. Like what you would imagine a primitivo to taste like if you could reduce two bottles into one and make it way more intense. It's an intensive primitivo. Basically.

10th from a thorough south and center 🇮🇹 wine tasting hosted by a small importer.
most were from fantini.

Powerful on nose.. it blossoms like fresh flowers, on palate beautiful sangiovese, casky, big fruit! Short end. This wine is a wonderful wine, still a long way development.. cheers!
