While the 09 from 375ml is outstanding, the Prime Rib is like you dream about. The end cut has such flavor & complexity while the center cut is seriously savory & complex.

The 09 out of 375 is juicy, delicious complexity.

The Prime Rib 10+.

Happy New Year! 🍷🥂🍾🥳🎉🎊

My personal winner of the Old World vs New World GSM showdown. Elegant, raisin, prune, smooth finish.

Red florals, sweet spice, raspberries, sweet cherries, cooked rhubarb on the nose. Palate is medium dry tannins, dark cherries, cherries, creamed raspberries, strawberries, underripe plum, raw rhubarb, tobacco leaf, edgy dark powdery minerals, crushed dry rocks, red & pink florals, some leather, wood shavings, raspberry twizzlers, cherry cola tea, just a hint of pepper and a medium dry fruit finish with good acidity. 375ml triple decanted.

Showing a little age, bramble and sanguine on the nose. Nice dense texture on the mid without being to syrupy. Finishes a little shorter than I'd like but overall is a stellar example of a CdP from a warm vintage that isn't over the top. Them Perrins seem to have it figured out.

A tasty, meaty CdP from 2009. Good fruit that really sang after about 45 minutes in decanter and another 10-15 in glass. Worked well with a Chateaubriand for two with sautéed spinach and portobella mushrooms.

Another beaucastel banger! 2009 definitely starting to secondary characteristics. Tobacco, plum, herbs. I could drink this every day!

Btl seemed correct but a little too ripe for my palate.
