Sophistication of a Bordeaux was still a bit of a funk and good stink

I'm gonna diverge from the pack here and say this is a very solid wine and great value, but it does need air and food. Guerlain violets, blackcurrant, underbrush on the nose. Midpalate is a little lacking and it doesn't have the stuffing to age for much more than 5-10 years, but this is definitely a B+/A- at its peak. This declines after a few hours of air and gently shows more of a natty side, bringing down to a B-/C+. We'll average it out at a solid B. I'd give this 30 minutes to open and then finish over dinner.

Biodynamic wine with unique taste. It would pair well with beef bourguignon. Not necessarily a wine I would buy again except to have on hand for dinners.

Dec 12, 2020. Feast tasting. This was wine #3 Basically undrinkable (in my opinion). Definitely not like any Bordeaux I’ve had. Funky flavors. Did not like. ☹️

A biodynamic wine with indigenous yeast from a crazy-old wine family in Cotes De Bordeaux. Deep red garnet color. The nose is dry herbs, maybe sage. Bright with medium tannins, and flavors of cranberry, cherry, and leather.

$27 natural Bordeaux via BN. Structured and tannic, fruity and light bodied. Would be excellent with red meat, not a standalone sipper.
