Funky Gewurz nose has ripe lychee nut (with the syrup!), sweat, and a little minerality. Sweet and rich in the mouth initially, it gets a little drier and lip-smacking as the finish wears on. I like it, but I’d drink more Gewurz if more producers made it like Trimbach does (in a drier style.)

Delicious honeydew, dried apricots with honey, white honeysuckle flower flavors and aromas. A little on the sweeter side thanks to the gewurtztraminer, none of the acidity you would expect from a Riesling in the area. Would have gone very well with cheese but instead I split it with a friend and enjoyed it over conversation. As it got some air it kind of got an oily note to it which was interesting but not altogether unpleasant.
