Was given this blind. Had olive notes so Syrah came to mind but it had a lot of Bordeaux character to it as well. I actually thought it may be some Mas des Daumas Gassac but this was so clean. Lovely wine.

Oh. My. Gosh! Like getting kicked in the face by some books in the attic that maybe got slightly wet. Goes down smooth and velvety. This guy, 1/2 my age, has held up nicely. Took just a little time to open up but damn it was good. Finish was short and to the point.

Beautiful classic. Gamey notes gave way to sweetened juniper sprigs and hay. Acid was perfect and soft tannins with a relatively short finish.
