Dark scarlet tawny. Mostly opaque. Sweet, fruit forward nose. Notes of black cherry, blueberries, graphite, some menthol and a little smoke. Gobs of fruit in the mouth. Some cranberries and notes of smoked meat evolve as it gains air and opens up. Very masculine in the mouth at first, angular with powerful structure. With four hours of air it becomes silky and smooth. This was luscious, and bottles like this have years of fun in front of it.

Scarlet tawny color. Big exotic nose. Notes of menthol, black cherry, raspberry, moist earth some pepper and a little Kirsch. Masculine yet is rich with a velvet glove impact. Tannins resolved, great balance. Remains in a great drinking window.

Reddish tawny, transparent. Fragrant nose. Notes of cranberries, menthol, slate stone, roses, and black soil. Medicinal. Angular in the mouth. Has a little more structure than fruit. Chewy. Gives that exotic La La nose and has a nice richness that comes with a few hours of air. No need to wait more on this.

Almost opaque and darkish red in the glass. Bacon fat and deep Syrah fruit in the nose when opened but the bacon disappeared after awhile. Silky but no match today for the 83 Mouline.

A thin wine and much thinner than the 1983 Brune et Blonde. Thin on palate and very thin on the nose. Short finish. Not worth the price at this point.
