Red, resinous currant with a licorice twist. Warm blackberry, dark toast, vanilla, cedar and sweet tabac seamlessly tailored, even at such a young age. Fresh gingerbread oven, too. Silk suit of tannins; loose stitching. Wound tightly showing sinewy potential and a Christmas cactus of sutured fruits bursting at the seams with liquid graphite and black currant reduction with fresh cassis and olive berry. Violets, treacle and black tea. Deep ruby red. A little savory on the nose with tons of red and black cherries as well as a little baking spices. Heavy mountain tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Great layers on the palate with bramble berries, black cherries, and a bit woody. Balanced acidity and intense structure. Nice texture with a bit of gravel in the long finish. Drink till 2042.

Simply awesome!! 45+ minute decant. Dark red color. Drinking older than I would have expected. Refined with a lovely texture. Cassis, dark fruit, pencil shavings, and minerality. Long finish.

The most balanced beautiful wines I have ever had in my life. This wine is phenomenal and had another 30 years in it. Pencils shavings, dark fruit on the nose with earth and forest floor on the palate.

Jul 12th, 2020Vibrant young Cab with an old soul. Decant for 30 to 45 min and experience a true NAPA Cab. Drank extremely well with a mesquite wood smoked turkey breast and an avacado salad. Bon appetite!
