For the Appellation blend, this was drinking as well or better than the vineyard designates. Nice surprise.

2008. Wow intense spice and nice fruit. A bit bity. Alcohol is 14.3% so a little warm in finish. A few more years will be good for this wine.

Inky color with white pepper nose. Black fruits and licorice on the palate. Tannins are firm but not out of balance. Throwing copious amounts of sediment. Definitely not a lightweight.
