Unbelievable! Golden, pineapple, honey. Rich, but not "oaky". Not buttery, either. Weighty mouthfeel, almost oily, but not too viscous. I'm duly impressed with how well this Chardonnay has aged. The "isobel" is from the Russian River Valley via the Charles Heintz Vineyard.

Brilliant pale gold color. Savory and sweet aromas: pear, fennel, cut grass, crisp apple, lemongrass, quince. Generous palate entry but quite delicate, round and mellow. Tangerine, lemon and almond. Progression along the palate, subtle richness but always pinpoint acidity. Truffle and hazelnut finish. Drink now to 2016.

Heintz vineyard. Whole cluster pressed and barrel fermented with native yeast. Complete malolactic fermentation and 15 months aging in 40% new French oak. No filtration at bottling. Released November 2012.

Delish. Golden hue. Toasted apple crisp. I think I have yet to have a disappointing bottle of Isobel Dumol. At this age it's at its height. Terrific.

Tried the "Chloe," too, but this one was definitely better balanced without the overuse of oak

This is the isobel. Tropical fruits. Sweet pineapple, sweet apple, sweet pear with tropical hints. Good acidity, and long finish. Terrific wine.
