Baked blackberry galette and summer brambles with oaky spices of cinnamon, clove, and anise with a hint of vegetal green pepper notes on the nose. Delicately polished mouthfeel with a rich dose of blackberry and blueberry with same hints of oaky warming spice and bell pepper on the palate. More restrained and elegant than the stereotypical cab-dominant Napa red but finish is just a touch watery and short, and the alcohol tastes a tad stiff. Very nice but just a hair out of balance. Overall a lovely wine though

Opened the last of my haul from '21 visit to Duckhorn. They sure make some tasty reds. This one is all black fruit and spice, with a long finish.
