Monitor Ledge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep ruby red. Very tight attack on the nose, that started off with some herbs, anise and light baking spices. Some dark fruits started to come through with some air. Moderate tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. A little lighter than expected. A fruit bomb with some air, tons of blueberries and baking spices. semi-rich. Medium plus bodied and really drinkable. Drink till 2020.

Nasty oak bomb. Decanted 2hrs. Nothing else there.

So damn good.

2012 is astronomical by really good. Plum & pomegranate notes with some pencil lead and tobacco tones. Very smooth 9 years after bottling,

This 2012 is perfect right now — mellow but still velvety with lots of dark fruit. Plums.

Pretty darn good, but I have had equally good reds at half the price.

2012 Vintage. 14.5% Alcohol. Drinking very well already with soft tannins and plenty of fruit. Gail wasn’t going to drink until I put a glass of this in her hand and she smelled its wonderful bouquet. Savored it together. Glad I bought this bin end...

Way over priced, would not (and thankfully did not) pay retail.

Vanilla notes were really nice! Not too much spice.
