Tasted this big boy five years ago and it was perfumed and fruity but also heavy and tannic. Now in 2016 I can see that time has softened those edges and brought nice balance. Delicious California Syrah, in all ways.

En Magnum. Our guests easily finished two Magnums for Christmas dinner, so decided to open two more for the same crew on New Year's Day. Didn't factor in that they might still be a be hungover from NYE so we only drank one. This one was opened for slow-o before they arrived, so we had no choice but to drink it ourselves over the next four days. 😉Fortunately it held up well. Excellent early effort from the Dragonette team.
