I really like this wine. After letting it breathe for half an hour, this was surprisingly smooth, subtly spicy, and well balanced with dark fruit. Amazing on its own, but having it with a "vintage" English white cheddar and an aged havarti was remarkable. The cheddar mellowed out the wine's sharpness, while the havarti seemed to enhance the sharpness. One of the best wines I've had in a few months.

Well rounded full bodied Malbec with fruity undertones and a hint of chocolate accompanying a tart finish.

Initially the oak notes stood a part and were a little overpowering, but integrated w air in the glass. Blackberry, plums, cocoa and spice. (I liked it better than the hubs did.) had with spice rubbed steak and predictably worked well, although less so when salsa verde added--also somewhat predictable.

Rustic cherry aromas and nice cherry and tobacco on taste with oak notes. Longer finish.

Our favorite Malbec, much deeper, fuller flavors compared to the non-Reserve offering from Gascon. Pairs well with beef or just by itself, however dark chocolate thinned the flavor.

Prune flavors, but dry and round. Spicy/woody on the finish. Unassuming but complexly flavored. Deserves its own attention — don’t smother with food
