Domaine Tempier
La Migoua Bandol Mourvedre Blend
Bandol, Provence, France
Tasted in the cellar at Tempier.
Nose just keeps evolving. Dried cherries, raisins, dried rose pedal, tobacco, iron, liver paté, asphalt, dried green herbs. Fantastically complex.
Palate delivers much of the same. Great concentration of dark fruit with strong, but ripe tannins that indicate that this wine has quite a lot of time left. Notes of thyme, oregano, and black tea seem to linger forever.
Killer stuff. My only regret is that I don't have a bottle for myself.

This wine was fantastic with florentine bistecca, pasta with a cream sauce and a beer salad!

Wow, this is serious, will be glorious in another 10
years. Elegant and concentrated at the same time.

Really fantastic - very complex flavor a while still being rustic and south of France line - super long finish
