Elegant. Not as earthy as previous bottle but very floral nose and palate. Let's see day 2.

Couldn't wait a year for bottle 2. No regrets as it's developing nicely. 2013

Most BoJo drink great young, shut down, then drink great again old. This is a purple (if translucent) tannin monster and just needs to be laid down. Will likely be very good then. Good aromatics but as monolithic as Gamay gets right now

Great mixture of fruits, stone, iron. Aroma really jumps from the glass on day 2.

Nose of dusty cherries, some underarm sweat, smoke, minty tea, seems a bit closed upon opening. Palate is lively with nice juicy fruit and terrific acid cut and deep tannin. Great complexity already. Excited to see this develop.

Day 1: Really impressive and aromatic nose of black cherry liquer/kirsch, baking spices, cinnamon, cardamon, raspberry coulis and earthy brambly berry fruit. In a word. COMPLEX. Palate is full and juicy but also a but closed but oh so promising. Juicy, dusty and quite firm tannins clamp down on the finish, but it is all there. What balance and poise.

Very dense nose. Mint, berry fruit. Packed but unyielding a bit on the nose. But as air comes so does nuance and complexity. Gorgeous palate, obviously young but this is all there. VERY impressed.
