Perfect condition btl from a Don Stott sale. Medium gold. Heavy in the glass. At first not very expressive but with an hour of air notes of flower petal, apricot, spice, orange and some stone. Wine is rich in the mouth, coats the palate with warm vintage fruit and OK acidity. Nice balance. Got better with several hours of air which brought some of the tell tale mint in the nose along with bigger acidity and backbone. Great showing and an upgrade over my last experience with this wine where the bottle was less pristine and the juice was tired and a bit over the hill.

Sep 18th, 2016Med gold in the glass. Viscous and heavy. Rich stone fruits in the nose. Tell tale mint that says Ramonet. In the mouth the fruit is powerful. Let it under your tongue and your face goes flush. Lemon, honeysuckle, crushed stone, mint in the mouth. Great finish. This is in a great window.
