Didn't know the producer but 2009 has never disappointed us in Burgundies so I took a chance on this village wine. Right out of the bottle you could taste the terroir and a good amount of ripe fruit almost Italian in feel. As it warmed and sat in the glass it developed quite nicely showing a decent amount of complexity that just got a tad more interesting every time we tasted it. Good example of why you can buy secondary labels in a great year and really enjoy it.
