2009 vintage. At the Domaine with Yannick, the wine maker. Medium ruby hue. Earthy, masculine, manure, broad and brawny. Dark fruits - blackberry and black plum. Hints of savoury spice and white pepper. Reductive smokiness. Some old oak. Complex. On the palate, high acidity, medium plus body, medium plus alcohol and medium tannins - very plush. Textural and silky. Good concentration. Good length although some tart notes on the back of the palate. Good. Drink now until 2032+.
