12 years between bottles and this wine has gone from strength to strength. A complex nose of cherry, spice and earth. Some green but not because of under ripeness or vintage. On the palate waves of cherry, cranberry, and loads of spice. Lingers in the mouth. Only improved in the decanter. In the context of the vintage this would be rated 2-3 points higher.
( does anyone know why the added label states, Burgundy dessert wine?)

Earthy and green to start, but almost the best wine at the conclusion of the evening.

A bit earth with damp basement to start with, the turned to red fruit forward and mixed with leather and ripe pepper and spice. Very jammy in the mouth, didn’t have the greenness that is typical of the vintage. Finish is long but a bit drying towards the end.
